I played on Stars last night at Jay's and pretty much just fucked around at a 6max table.

12/30/2009 - $6.18

From now on, I'm going to play seriously (only @ home, places where I can really focus on the game)

I watched From The Ground Up Episode Two twice now, about to watch the second half one more time and finish taking notes.

And BTW, I took hella notes. I'll probably do Episode Three today, as well.

I only played a little bit at work yesterday, but here's my new log entry:

12/29/2009 - $9.85

I did the 7-day free trial on Deuces Cracked, and I downloaded all the Beginner videos in the video guide. This site is awesome, I really feel like I'll start making some money as I watch these videos. I'm thinking about watching 1-2 videos per day, reading 3-5 stickies in the anthology thread, and playing for a couple hours a day will be good.

I just finished up "From The Ground Up - Episode One" and I plan to watch the second and third episodes today.

BTW, it looks like I'm gonna be switching to 6max.

I've been on a losing streak so far. I've been getting some bad beats and I think it's been subconsciously putting me on tilt.

Here are my recent stats:

12/25/2009 - $14.34
12/26/2009 - $12.64
12/27/2009 - did not log
12/28/2009 - $9.25

I'm gonna have to play smart and not dip too far below.

I will begin reading more while limiting myself to 1-2 tables.

To-Do list for today:

1. re-read complete guide to beating the micros [x]

2. start reading anthology thread [x]

I.Background
a.2+2 Lingo and Abbreviations by ajmargarine

Random shit I've gathered from the "why am I going broke at micros" thread:

Bann's guide to beating the micros

Sit and wait for 2 premium cards.

Hit top pair on flop

Bet bet bet

/profit

other then that subscribe to deucescracked.com, watch Building a foundation by baluga whale. Play exactly as he describes

before buying DC subscription i suggest you look at www.pokertrikz.com they have some decent vids on beating micro stakes.

OP start posting some hands where you lost (dont post bad beats or coolers) and you migt get some help from us.

read those threads again.. i suspect its a case of fancy play for your case , as abc poker will beat 2nl.. maybe look over your play again and the next time u play consciously tell yourself to play abc

---------

I think the series that is meant is Tubasteve's Series "From the ground up"

---------

if u want to improve in cash games, check out pokertrikz.com and watch the free coaching vids from loltrickedu

---------

i kept going broke at micros. This is what i did.

1. signed up with 2+2
2. read a bunch of posts
3. started playing better poker

as eazy as 1 2 3

--------

deucescracked.com is free until oct 4th, so take the chance and watch Tommy Angelo's eightfold path to poker enlightenment. If you don't make it through all the videos until sunday, listen to the two Deuce Plays podcasts he was on (02/24/09 and 03/03/09).

--------

I am not sure but he might be referring to The coaching tree?? I haven't found the building a foundation videos either...

--------

The video he meant was Tubasteve - From the Ground up on DC, it's really really good for micro.

I've decided to start a blog dedicated to online poker.

I started out with $10, and my goal is to turn that into $1,000.

I do not plan on depositing any more money other than my initial $10 deposit.

Here's my log so far:

12/18/2009 - $10
12/19/2009 - $5.68
12/20/2009 - $14.88
12/21/2009 - $23.82
12/22/2009 - $22.04
12/23/2009 - forgot to save data
12/24/2009 - $13.53

The most I've ever had was about $29

I'll be updating this daily

HEM graph of recent play:

I need to start playing smart, I keep going on tilt after I lose a lot of money. I'll do what has been working for me.

I'm currently playing $0.01/$0.02 NLHE, and I plan to stay there until I reach $40 so I can move on up.
